Too many redundant actions in
Too many redundant actions in this combination. Tactician, caravan, and smithy made a powerful combination but most of the rest of the cards were ignored.
I disagree. Every single card
I disagree. Every single card was bought in my game and this set allowed me to utilize two cards that I've grossly neglected: Navigator and Lookout. All of the action options really helped those two work together. And at endgame (a Tactician hand), multiple Festivals & Navigators plus Village/Smithy/Caravan were just beautiful.
The only card we didn't use
The only card we didn't use (and I think this is just because I haven't really got the hang of its utility yet) is Lookout. Navigator was quite useful in combination with the extra actions and the ability to draw more cards, and building up actions so that you can use multiple Merchant Ships and then Tactician. The game flowed quite well.

Not collected neither one of us had anything to trash. Merchant ship was a popular buy as the +2 made purchasing the providence possible on consecutive hands. Loved teaming up the smithy with either village or festival, they played with each other well. She purchased the navigator I opted for the caravan. Ultimately she won.
